When the world is bustling all around me... I need to go to a place of solitude to
find peace and contentment. There in that quiet place... I can be complete in
the stillness of my inner silence.
Inner Silence
In silence... be still
In silence... refill
In silence... be you
In silence... renew
In silence... let go
In silence... grow
In silence... live
In silence... give
In silence... look deep
In silence... weep
In silence... take
In silence... forsake
In silence... listen
in silence... tears glisten
In silence... mirth
In silence... new birth
There is nothing weak about silence... it centers us...
and gives us great, inner power.
Shhhhhh, I agree, but let's keep it down, OK?
ReplyDelete/In silence... new birth/
ReplyDeleteMany women will not agree!!!!
Silence makes us to think deep and grow better in heart.
Very powerful. I like this very much.
ReplyDeleteI love this too, it's all so true. Sometimes silence is too loud, but that's only when we really don't want to hear ourselves.
ReplyDeleteSilence is the soil where words grow strong and honest! There is an interesting alliterative rhythm to this piece, I enjoyed it very much.
ReplyDeleteWow so true...meditation is such a cleansing...I have no idea what I would do with out it...the stillness, so refreshing...thank you...I would like to post this on my blog if posible?

within myself.
Nice to meet you.
This is a real nice poem. Sounds like you love the silence. I agree about silence centering.... there is this saying I've learned it's Arabic "Allah Ho Akbar" which can be translated to peace is power.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve.
ReplyDeleteSilence can be so beautiful!
Many people are afraid of the
silence... but, I treasure it.
Peace is power!
