I do not often write about God
but, this poem captures where I can find God!

GOD
I heard a redbird just at dawn
And saw it peering on the lawn
Then I felt God.
I witnessed sun upon the sea
As it displayed its majesty
Then I felt God.
I watch seeds planted in the earth
In their own ways they all give birth
And there moves God.
A baby tries its first small smile
And holds my finger all the while
Then I see God.
My heart's swift beat when love awoke
Freed me from any earthly yoke
Then I knew God.
Amen! Margie. Same place I find Him.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!

Freed me from any earthly yoke
Then I knew God."

Simply beautiful
ReplyDeleteI have always felt that: if you boiled us all down and condensed the vapors, that would be God. 'Course then I am accused of "being" God. In a way, I guess, a small part.
ReplyDeletePeace
