I wish my faith was like a river
Deep and beautiful and strong
Filled with strength the way a river
Fills itself with quiet song.
Twigs and pebbles fall upon it
But they never change its course
It moves on so slowly, surely
Driven by a spirit force.
Weaker things are borne along it
So I wish my faith might bear
Sorrows and the disappointments
Those around me let me share.
Tall green forests grow beside it
Waterd by its tender care
Could faith like that flow through my soul
And leave its bit of verdure there.
what a beautiful analogy!!!It was delightful.
