THE MAGIC OF WORDS

How I love words!
What spells they weave
With them
I laugh
I sing
I grieve!

They give me power to attain
The deepest joy
The sharpest pain
The anguish of a childish fear
The past and present coming clear!

One word alone
Can glimmer bright
I see it
Shimmer
Like a light!

I've tasted words
Upon my tongue
Which linger
Like a song unsung!

Why then
When words cast a magic spell
If they are formed
Wisely and well
Are ugly words
Too often used
With languages
Tragically abused
Reducing to disgusting waste
What should be
Beauty uneffaced!

  3. Words can be a very powerful weapon. I once had a post called 'verbal bullets'. At the same time, words can be a soothing balm. It depends on who's talking and how they r spoken.

Always be kind with ur words...hurt never, help ever.

Hope ur tops today Margie HUGGGGGGGZ!

    Keshi.

  4. Its only words, and words are all I have, to take
    Your heart away

Smile, an everlasting smile, a smile can bring you
    Near to me.
Dont ever let me find you down, cause that would
    Bring a tear to me.
This world has lost its glory, lets start a brand
    New story now, my love.
Right now, therell be no other time and I can show
    You how, my love.

    it's only words
and words are all I have
    to take your heart away

Talk in everlasting words, and dedicate them all to
    Me.
And I will give you all my life, Im here if you
    Should call to me.
You think that I dont even mean a single word i
    Say.
Its only words, and words are all I have, to take
    Your heart away

  5. Holy BeeGees Batman!

Ugly words come out of our little mouths thanks to the ape brains that we carry aound with us.
We are only a heartbeat away from living on the Savannah.
Just beneath the surface is a nervous, fragile, little scavenger who is suspicious of everything and living moment to moment in search of mates, food and shelter.
All that we have added to this list is asking WHY.

  8. Oh! how true this poem can be. Ugly words that hurt can go deep to the heart and hurt so bad. Our minds tells us it is okay, but the heart needs time to heal and it does. I am glad that you have come back to blogging. You like it so.
    Welcome back, my friend.

  9. hey Margie... DO NOT even spare a penny of thoughts for those who just spread hurt... not worth it, nah, not at all... you Are such a fun and beautiful spirit... and one should always use words, if one can,... for the greater benefits... theres already too much hurt on the planet, as it is!

thank you so much for the take on intuition.

  10. words...
    themost powerful weapon..
wounds can be healed but the the injury that words caused can no one erase...

talk less instead of talking non-sense..

  37. nabeel,
I believe magic of actions is just as important as what we express in our words!
I wrote about words, as I believe
the power of hurtful words can sometimes wound us even more than
    mean actions!
We can keep those mean words in our heads for a long time!
    Take care!
