I have the God-given ability to laugh
the same as I have the ability to cry.
When I am feeling unhappy
I am saved by something humorous
to liven my darkest mood.
Spontaneous laughter can lift
a sad heart
and mend a broken one.
The very sound of it
sends a message
around the world
that life is still bearable
that hope is still practical
and joy is most probable.
We know that we can't meet
all of life's problems laughing wildly
but, we are told
there is a time to laugh
and a time to cry
and sometimes the line between the two
is mighty thin!
So true. I can recall both laughing until I cried and crying until I laughed!
ReplyDeleteThanks for my dose of Margie wisdom today ;-)
I'm usually laughing to keep from crying. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Margie... absolutely... really no line at all... same... same... crying and laughter are both wonderful expressions of humanity... and can happen together... or apart... both are welcome...! :)

a man (or woman) with a sense of humour who can laff at himself is very rare

u r blessed
