ADORATION

The love a dog will give to you
remains a thing forever true . . .
Nothing in the world can dim it
completely yours, every minute . . .
Constant as the day is long
Such a love is forever strong . . .
All you have to do to earn it
is take it, cherish and return it!

(Dedicated to Jake . . . my new Best Friend!)

  1. Awe you brought back memories to my dear old companion. There's nothing like the unconditional love of a doggie. I remember mine so well.

    Missing him.

  8. Hi Margie,

What kind of dog is Jake? I'm such a dog person...especially labs! My grandparents (who live a few miles away) always had black labs...so I grew up with them.

Dog are so loyal and love unconditionally.

Enjoy your day in sunny CO!

  22. Margie, I tried to post a comment here yesterday, but couldn't get it to "stick". Just wanted to say that this poem is adorable, and that Jake is one lucky dog to find himself in a home as wonderful as yours. Good poem. :)
