Sometimes the heart is too heavy
to give voice to a song ...
the harp strings of poetry
having lost all their tautness
cannot sound the music
for which the soul hungers
and fingers have become too stiffened
with sadness
to pluck with carefree abandon
a joy-filled melody.
But the voice of faith whispers
were there no darkness
there would be no rejoicing
at the coming of light.
That is a very sad poem Margie and the heart weighs heavy. Listen to the voice of faith my friend. :)
ReplyDeleteYou expressed it so well and I hope that with continous faith this moment of melancholy will fade away.....
ReplyDeleteOut of heaviness of the heart comes good poetry..
ReplyDeleteNo matter how heavy the heart feels, as far as the voice of faith is there, it will be well.
ReplyDeleteTC my swetie, a very happy new year to you, I wish you all your heart desires in 2009.
Love Christabelle.
I hope the melancholy IS only momentary!
ReplyDeleteHey Margie! :) I did enjoy that day. It was so much fun. Thanks a lot :) Take Care always and always have fun.

p.s: hows the cold in "the mile high city" ??
But the voice of faith whispers
ReplyDeletewere there no darkness
there would be no rejoicing
at the coming of light.
the pain of child birth
folowed by the JOY of new creation
it works reverse in the party scene, the hangover comes after
me,i prefer JOY first
dont no if I cud survive the pain in case No.1
