I cannot sing to you
You ARE my song ...
Song of gladness
Song of sadness ...
Things begin and end
with you ...
I could sing a song triumphant
swelling to tremendous tones ...
Tones of vibrant living things
Lust for life ...
The earth, the sky
Rippling waters, stars on high ...
Or a mountain melody
Soulful, soothing harmony ...
Songs of everything on earth
I could sing the whole day long ...
But not to you
You ARE my song!
