Capture life with nimble fingers put it in a gilded cage _ wait to hear the happy trilling coming from its private stage _ There will be no song, no singing 'till the day you set it free _ You compose your own libretto life comes without a guarantee _
Margie: I've started a new tradition when I stop by your wonderful blog site; I read your poem aloud, and this really is a great way for me to experience the message!
Beautiful! You capture such a wonderful life view with such nuanced words. I am moved by your thoughts! Lovely picture of you too. I think it's so darling that you share my art with your sweet Rose!
Hi Margie! I so agree with your thoughts. As soon as you try to micromanage your life, you find you don't really have one anymore. Love the way you phrased it! And It's so good to be visiting again my friend :) Ceil
This lovely poem reminds me of the importance of staying in the moment without clinging. I especially like "There will be no song, no singing 'till the day you set it free."
Beautiful and instructive poem, Margie. I have been over the bridge in the background today and yesterday. My guess is you are standing near the San Francisco Bay Trail, just west of St. Francis Yacht Club. Beautiful view and only about 60 degrees there when we left before noon.
I love this,no birds should ever be held captive...i had a bird cage with the door open, just to make a statement, I will never ever hurt a bird, or animal of any kind, it tear my heart to pieces....moving and touching as always angel
Ygraine How true that is... I am loving today and each moment (so far ,anyway ) But in a little while I need to go weed the garden so that might change , nah, I will make that be 'a good time' LOL
Hello Rob-bear On the guarantees you mentioned ...sigh... Death is one sure thing that comes to all of us so let's be happy while we are here in this big, beautiful world. Taxes ... oh, yes, we must pay our taxes ... another sigh ...
Blessings and hugs to you. Be well and take care ..

no there are few if any guarantees...and the more we hold onto life...the tighter our grip...the fast it seems to flow on through.....
ReplyDeleteYes, Brian, there are no guarantees, that is why always embrace today as tomorrow is never promised.
