My mother's hands
that held her belly tight
waiting for the day
with love like golden light.
My mother's hands
the day I was born
that held me to her breast
though her body was worn and torn ...
My mother's hands
that kept me safe at night
took away all the nightmares
and soothed away the fright ...
My mother's hands
that washed away the pain
my tears were her tears
like drops of salty rain ...
My mother's hands
like God's hands above
will forever protect me
with their soft and gentle love!

Awww...!! Beautiful. Moms are so special, always put their children before themselves. She will always be with you, watching over. May be she will be back with you physically as your grandchild as we Hindus say and believe! :))
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing that compares to a mother's hands.
ReplyDeleteSoon after my mother died I wrote some verses (in my native language which is romanian)to fit the music of Adagio by Albinoni which is sad music.
Whenever I'm down and want my mother, I sing it to myself and feel as if she's there by me to srengthen and encourage me.
Margie,
