My wishes are filled a single companion on the path a little book from eternity's song shelter, water and food the presence of light when I remember to see and someone with whom to foolishly complain when darkness hides the sun -
A wonderful poem of thankfulness, for all that is there, with us. Sometimes we do not ssee the beauty, simply when a moment of darkness, obstructs a total view...Nice to have a trusty companion in life as well:)
Eileen PS: Thanks for your recent Blog visit Margie. Nice to catch up, once in a while. I am still spring cleaning and rearranging my house!!!
Hi Margie! Well, I always think that if I'm with a friend I can be joyful and complain! But you're right...it is silly to complain in the face of so many gifts from God. This made me think! Happy Weekend :) Ceil
Your poem perfectly sums up the essentials in life: the right companion, a little book, water, food , light. Nature (in the gorgeous picture) is our Big Mother and Protecor.
We're both lucky, Margie, that we have longstanding companions with whom to walk and talk, and share! I love the dramatic photo - that tree makes you look VERY small indeed. I'm off the computer a lot - we're busy readying the Denver house for sale.
Hi Margie .. the poem shelter, water, food and sun-filled light .. always good to enjoy and live with the time ... as it gives so much ... love the background mistiness ... cheers Hilary
Many thanks to all of you for the visits and comments. I shall reply later in the week as having a very busy weekend here with outdoor events, bike riding and nature walks with my husband.
We are blessed to live in a land of "plenty".
