My friend that passed on recently always had a smile on her face.
How I miss that smile.
Even in her days of deep physical pain...
she would still smile.
I wish she was still here and I could share this poem with her
it is for her.
She is not here
so, it is for all of you.
(the poem is really about who she was...her charcter... her peace of mind)
YOUR SMILE
Your smile makes me remember
sunlight
even when the skies
are cloudy.
Your thoughtfulness
is like cool water
when I am
so thirsty.
Your serenity
is balm
to my ruffled feelings
when everything
seems in chaos
and I wonder
who encouraged you.
Then I realize
your own strength
came from
within
where your source
of all good
centerd and stabilized.
And I want
that kind
of peace
and I want
that kind
of spontaneous
joy!
And I know that
I can
have it
if I
take the time
as you took
the time
to just let it be.
To let go
the slight fears
and petty little things
and find
instead
hope
and cheerfulness
and genuine
love.
Those
things
that made
your splendid
SMILE!!
I loved, and needed this. Thanks.
