The bitter wind is singing a cruel song tonight and snow is piling deeply in drifts so deep and white. I find refuge in my dwelling am there secure and warm but please God, take care of all creatures who must weather such a storm!
Beautiful, Margie. Short (for my limited attention span), musical (Iove the rhythm and rhyme), and perhaps most importantly, filled with compassion for other creatures.
My refuge is right under my comforter! It is COLD here!!! But I can't help but feel awful when I see people who are homeless that die from this bitter cold. God gave our little creatures fur and a nice coating to bear the winter...but unfortunately, our homeless people are suffering.
warm and cozy in the comfort of your home.I remember when I lived in Michigan, looking out of the window and watching the snow pile up.and thinking of the people out there.lovely poem as usual.
Hi sb It is so nice to have you here! It was so pleasant chatting at princess kai's place! One never knows who will drop in at her place for a litle chat! I do appreciate your kind words! Thank you!
Hi deb it's so true about the homeless! I took a walk last night when it was so bitter cold...and I was hoping and praying all the homeless here were in shelters! Take care!
Hi starry We are so blessed to have the comfort of a warm home in the cold winter... so many do not! I think of them...and pray for them! Thank you starry!
the homeless have always had a place in my heart, figuring i was one step away from it myself at points...this timeof year when the weather turns cold i think of those without that dweeling place....sombre...
and thank you for always being such an encouragement...
Beautiful poem as always.
