I have seen the snow-capped mountains
and the restless surging sea.
The dark green depths of the forests
always cast a spell over me.
I have felt the witching of deserts
and been spell-bound by Northlands drear.
I have watched a poem in motion
when I startled a bob-tailed deer.
Oh, the world is so full of beauty
unbounded, priceless and free.
Yet nothing touches my heartstrings
like the lights of home beckoning me!
what a sweet & beautiful poem!

Wait! We’re missing a very important poet
ReplyDeleteMargie hasn’t come back, in case you haven’t noticed
She hasn’t said one word since yesterday
Without her little poems, my entire world is gray!
I don’t know what to do other than wait here
Maybe make a martini or suck down a beer
Hopefully by the time she gets back
I won’t be ossified- laid up on my back
I’ll be quick and ready to read something fresh and new
I hope Margie’s okay, because I haven’t got a clue!
Come back Margie!
