The leaves are made of golden brocade
Loosened, they flutter down and
Blink on and off like a light bulb
Winking slyly to me: "Here comes Fall!"
The afternoon glow invades my heart
But the drifting leaves disperse
Like a flung pack of cards
Shouting at me: "Here comes Fall!"
Wow!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Observation...
Right now i'm looking out of my window & things seem more beautiful now.
like a flung pack of cards....

ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season of the year! And there is that afternoon glow, when the leaves are all golden/red and orange. It just brightens up everything, even if it's cloudy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Wowww!!
ReplyDeleteThats so beautiful!!
Margie, we dont have a fall season as such in Kerala, and there arent much of a seasonal variation even throughout the year. But I have chanced across wonderful accounts and pictures of the fall season and it truly sounds and seems one awesome time!
:)
:-) :-) Sweet poem Margie.
ReplyDeleteFall is fake is california. The leaves turn red, then brown and then fall down. I love the fall on the east coast, every possible fall color is seen on the trees.
P.S: apologies for not visiting your blog in a long time. Also, reg. my post on Tahitian Wedding; it is not a real wedding. I had mentioned at the end of the post that it is from a show at PCC. Sorry if you thought it was real. I have edited my post to specifically mention that.
Take care -ari

ReplyDeleteI am happy most of the time Margie, but sometimes I regret living in a tropical country. I don't see sweeping change of seasons.
ReplyDeleteEarly morning and evening glow is auspicious here. Believe me almost everything is auspicious here. Reddish yellow. That is why crooks wear saffron.
Thank you Margie for stopping by and saying hi.
