The Awakening ~

How could I know when morning broke 
and golden skies shone through the blue 
that I should find ere setting sun 
the heart of you?

 How could I know that one short day 
could hold a rapture so divine 
revealing ere its course was run 
your heart was mine!

    Dear Margie, this brought back much-cherished memories. Oh, certainly the girl I met so long ago to whom I entrusted all my days, but also the children and grandchildren my heart immediately joined. I am amazed connections so strong and permanent can be made so fast. Life, eh? Keep writing about it!
