as for me, I think it was God.
Sculpting with his finger
this band of sandstone sod.
Leaving behind a blue window
all seeing eye to souls.
No bridge of mortal suspension
priceless treasure to behold.
Forged in the heat of the desert
canyon kiln of stone.
God made this lovely Arch to view
of a certainty ... this I know.

Love your photo, Margie! And the poem is beautiful - the wonders of nature and what a gift it is to be able to appreciate them in all their glory.
ReplyDeleteMargie,
ReplyDeleteThis is so incredibly lovely. Your images brought into form through words makes me feel like i'm right there at the arch too, witness to the sculptor molding the clay... using wind, water and time to sculpt the perfect window for us to peer into his soul... and in to yours... thank you so much for this glimpse, and for sharing such a beautiful photo too!
I love the desert and the sand, and I believe in God.
ReplyDeleteYes, "God made this lovely arch" as you claim in your little, lovely poem.
The two beautiful friends on the background of the arch - make the picture priceless.
Beautiful Margie, So glad to see you back. all the best to you.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back posting, Margie...and a beautiful poem :)

Your photo and poem are beautiful. What would nature be without God's hand? He's opened that window for us all to see the beauty behind it. All we have to do is open our eyes. Your words express this wonderfully.
I havnet had a chance to come by, but so glad you're back :)!

ReplyDeleteThe gentle touch of Creator is always with us. Sometimes we feel it, sometimes we don't and yet - Creator always feels us.
Thank you for your good work and contributions as always to the flow of life.
Goodlife my friend,

After viewing and reading, and 'getting to know YOU, I am also convinced that the Arch was created by God, intending for Peeps like us to see the 'spiritual' in this--and also in every grain of sand--which is its OWN global world in this infinite of a universe!
