So many, many, things take place
along life's busy way
to make us laugh, and cry and sing
each and every day ...

But the Little Miracle secure
within your eager arms
is your lease on happiness
with her captivating charms ...

So cherish and enjoy her
guide her, help her when you can
and when you see her stumble
reach out a loving, steady hand ...

Then when she's big and stands alone
be not afraid to let her go
to walk her path
with head held high
for God and Love hath made her so.

Picture is of my beautiful daughter, Bess.
She has grown into an amazing and wonderful young woman!
She is a blessing in my life!

  1. beautiful...our children are sucha blessing in our lives...does not surprise me she has grown into a wonderful woman...smiles.

  2. What a precious photograph, Margie! What a complete sweetheart! :)

Yes, they grow too quickly, don't they? But, oh, it's wonderful to watch them make their own way in the world, isn't it? My children never fail to amaze and to continue teaching me things...and I love seeing the world through their eyes as much now, as adults, as I did when they were wee little things.

  3. What a beautiful poem...your daughter is precious in that photo. I also have a daughter who I treasure...I'm glad that you visited my blog and that my post helped raise your spirits - that makes me happy. Have a great day! :)

  16. Hello Margie.
What a cute baby your daughter was. As parents, we set the first stones of the foundation for our children to build upon (grow). Your daughter is extremely blessed to have such a warm & kind mom. This is indeed a lovely tribute & I agree with Bernie, you should frame it & give it to Bess as a gift.

    Lovely photo.

  40. Sometimes we forget how tiny they were .. when we held them in our arms ... fed them ... dressed them.
    Life ... how beautiful

  41. We sometimes forget that the life is a beautiful opportunity.
We are selfish and we don't want to help who have a problem.
But our life and our friends and families are special.
