Dance of the Moon ~

The dancing moon glided past my back door
The moon in all her glory was full of song
A catchy tune - I began to hum along
My foot began to tap
My hips began to groove
The dance began - I clung to the moon
We danced across the sky
The stars watched with a twinkly smile
The planets moved in perfect time
The world was my playground -
A chorus full of dreams -
All destined to come true
One by one they unfolded - the first was you
A dreamer I am - who dreamt of finding you
Little did I know you were friends with the moon
So now the night brings light in my eyes - song in my heart
My dreams are for a waking eye because you are mine -

  5. Just returned from watching that bright crescent outdoors. How many dance partners can one moon have in an orbit of earth? Millions? Billions? Only if we look up and joyously out as you do. I learn here.

Oh, you were out too and watching the moon.
Was it as magical there as it was here?
I find nothing more magical 'in the nighttime' than that beautiful crescent.in the sky :)

Always so nice to see you here.
      Thanks Geo

  7. A dancing, singing moon. Beautiful imagination. Love the way your mind works, and your thoughts that pour out into poems that stir the imagination of others. I have never thought of a dancing, singing moon. but it nice to think about the universe keeping time. If I see the moon tonight, I shall think about dancing. xx
