REFLECTIONS

Love is such an airy thing
a fairy bubble . . .
a gossamer wing . . .
to be handled . . .
with the lightest touch . . .
too heavy a hand . . .
and it loses its gleam . . .
as a butterfly wing . . .
loses its sheen . . .
when the down rubs off.

  1. My sentiments dear Margie - taking a few days "off" as I atttempt to express with the brush what you so succintly put into words...the delicacy of love...

  5. Love is such a delicate thing
Frail fabric of a butterfly’s wing
    Yet seen I have
    Dragged thru mud
    Treated real bad
    Used as a hammer
    Used as a tool
    Made a genius
    Look like a fool
I've seen it get stepped on
I've seen it all but gone
But at the end of the day
It is still there I must say
    Resilient as anything I've seen
    Residing everywhere I've been
    So though it may break
    And it may shatter
    It is always there
    And that's what really matters

I love coming here and being reminded of such things
    Thank you.

This is so true! Once love gets too strong, it loses its appeal in some way. They say that if you really love someone or something, to let it go; let it be free. To have too much control is the same as smothering someone...or something.

    Beautifully written!!!

i had been a victim until now

to be with the one u love

    love makes u an ass
