REFUGE

The bitter wind is singing
a cruel song tonight
and snow is piling deeply
in drifts so deep and white.

I find refuge in my dwelling
am there secure and warm
but please God, take care of all creatures
who must weather such a storm!

  2. Beautiful, Margie. Short (for my limited attention span), musical (Iove the rhythm and rhyme), and perhaps most importantly, filled with compassion for other creatures.

  5. My refuge is right under my comforter! It is COLD here!!! But I can't help but feel awful when I see people who are homeless that die from this bitter cold. God gave our little creatures fur and a nice coating to bear the winter...but unfortunately, our homeless people are suffering.

  31. Dear Margie,I think you do have a beautiful soul coz you think about people who dont have enough shade to face snow .. Life would have been better with more people like you.

  32. the homeless have always had a place in my heart, figuring i was one step away from it myself at points...this timeof year when the weather turns cold i think of those without that dweeling place....sombre...

and thank you for always being such an encouragement...
