It seems as though I knew you when
the stars began to shine ...
You laughed and smiled and I knew then ...
that you were always mine ...
in my own particular way.

We were in love, the hour was late
that night we met, my dear ...
so was it just a turn of fate ...
that made me want you near ...
in my own particular way?

We've lived a lifetime since that night
Now, darling, we belong ...
together, so my heart is light ...
and bursting with glad song ...
