NOT FORGOTTEN

Gone, but not forgotten
Enshrined in my memory ...
Are valued mental pictures ...
Which only I can see.
Memory flashes them upon the screen
In colors in every hue ...
And when I'm sad and lonely ...
"Loved Ones, I see you."
No artist's brush has touched them ...
Life has produced these pictures rare ...
Love and sacrifice; joy and sorrow ...
Have put the colorings there.
These mental pictures are not for sale ...
I'm the appreciative one, you see ...
And will you believe it when I tell you?
They're worth a million to me!
