The beauty of trees in a blanket of snow
and the silence, as down the flakes fall ...
have oft put my heart in a spirit of peace ...
and taken my mind from it all!
The grace of the twigs in their frosting of white
with the deep solemn trunks of black ...
have oft made me think of my dear old home town ...
How my soul yearns right now ... to go back!
Oh, to walk through the snow when the twilight comes down
with a dog, and warm clothes ...
And a heart filled with cheer!
The summer months call with the voice of the sun ...
But, I truly am glad now that winter is here!
Gosh! I want..I want....I wanna make a snowman, I wanna have a snow fight with you and most importantly I wanna experience what you have written here Margie....snow flakes yayayyyy :D
ReplyDeleteI got so tired of snow that I moved to an area that gets very little of it. The only way to enjoy snow is to look out a window at it.
