Though friends may make some errors
Sometimes not up to par ...
Their virtues still are many ...
So we love them as they are
We, too, oft fail to measure ...
To what we ought to be
We want our friends to love us
And give us loyalty ...
Allow for human frailty
Just stress whate'er is best ...
Then love will never falter
But meet true friendship's test!
There is nothing like a really good friend, is there. Take care, have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThis is so in tune with something in my life this week. My friend since eighth grade sent me an awesome email this week telling me how much she cares about me and has always loved me as a sister. It is one of the best emails I have ever received and then I see your wonderful poem about friends.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVELY FRIEND!
ReplyDeleteThis poem is ideal for today cos only a precious friend like u cud write something like that...cos only you know HOW to be a friend like that...a true friend. What a poem that was!
**Allow for human frailty
Just stress whate'er is best ...
Then love will never falter
But meet true friendship's test!
How true. u give words to all my feelings and that is the beauty of YOU. Sometimes I get speechless from the pain, wordless from these aching thoughts but u come around and give em all a voice, and Im healed. u r truly a VERY SPECIAL SOUL.
hv a beautiful day today Margie! It's a blessed day cos u were born today. This world is more beautiful for hvn u in it. Imagine a world w.o. u, I'd be so poor.

And, as usual your poems are a delight! :)
Birthday Joy to you dear Margie!
ReplyDeleteYour poetic expression of friendship reminds us that we are to be our own best friend as well,
"And give us loyalty ...
Allow for human frailty"
for we cannot give what we do not yet possess.
You

Hello Jimmy

Then I got it...Lol!
Does not surprise me that he is (still) in love with Keshi!
Take care and Smile:)
Margie:)
Your poem dear Margie brought added focus to the words friend and friends. The letters that comprise the words "end" and "ends" seemed guided by:
ReplyDeleteF= Freedom
R= Right
I= Intention
and so in the "end" or "ends" be our ever present quest to share and be known. For the freedom of right intention - the ultimate reality known among friends.
This so much our community of bloggers as friends...
